Meet Big Star, the real star of the show at Nick Skelton’s yard. Nick believes Big Star, with whom he won a Team GB medal in London 2012 and an individual gold medal in Rio 2016, is the best horse he has ever ridden thanks to the power of his action, his expansion, and his beating temperament. Big Star has since retired from show jumping and has now forged a successful stallion career being approved in 21 studbooks, standing at stud away from Nick’s yard, Big Star comes back to the Skelton residence for winters before returning to the day job.
